As a storyteller I work within the tradition of documentary film to create stories that explore the human condition and our connection to the natural world. I am drawn to stories that are longitudinal, meaning that the events are filmed over time as they unfold.  Broadly speaking, much of my work falls under the umbrella of sustainability and environmental justice and takes an advocacy point of view.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts from Wake Forest University and, in addition to filmmaking, work as an Associate Professor of Digital Cinema and Documentary in the Academy for Creative Media at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
